Religious Education

Come and See is the Religious Education programme recommended by Liverpool Archdiocese.  It is the scheme that we follow here at Saint William's Catholic Primary School.  In this section you will find the termly RE newsletters which contains more detail about the topics your child is studying.  You will also find photos and information about recent events.  Remember to check yourchild's class blogs and our Twitter page for up to date information about what is happening in each class.

Faith in Action Group

A group of Year 6 are working together to organise a variety of activities to show their own faith in action; as well as helping the rest of the school to have opportunities to live out theirs.

As well as leading Collective Worships; organising our charity events; maintaining our reflection areas throughout school and distributing the Wednesday Word to all the children in school, the group also organise seasonal events such as the travelling nativity.

St. William's Catholic Primary School is part of St. William's Parish which is served by two churches St. Patrick's and St. John's.

Our Parish Priest is Father Ian O'Shea

Mrs Ellis was really impressed with year 6 for collective worship.  The children created a river of mirrors, where they could reflect on their own lives.  They listened to Matthew 7:1-5

Here are some photographs of our stations of the cross reflection.

During the summer term we will be raising money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.  Each year the children in school select charities to support that School Council.

We are very proud of the generosity of the children in school.
